Fun lithographic print with a Mid-Century vibe, depicting a sort of whimsical birds-eye-view of Boston - from Charlestown and Bunker Hill and the Constitution at the top, down to the Prudential building at the bottom - and other familiar sights, like the State House, swan boats, Schrafft's Building and the Aquarium evident - also some now gone favorites, like Filene's, Jordan Marsh, and Jimmy's Harborside Restaurant. The art and calendar below are primarily black and white, but the harbor and duck pond are filled in, possibly screenprinted, in a silvery gray. Winding its way through the image is the nasty, traffic covered Central Artery, which still haunts the dreams of anyone who drove in Boston before the the Zakim Bridge and the Big Dig.
