Superb Official 1901 Pan-American Exposition Souvenir Playing Cards

Superb Hard-to-Find Official Set of Pan-American Exposition Souvenir Playing Cards, Copyright 1901.  Manufactured by Pan-American Souvenir Playing Card Company Incorporated, 458 Washington St., Buffalo, NY.  Each card shows a different scene from the Pan-American Expo along with a few interesting scenes from the City of Buffalo and Niagara Falls.  Slip case still has the Blue 2¢ Playing Card Tax Revenue Stamp in place, stamped 1901.

The Playing Card Set comes Complete w/Original Slip Case, 52 Cards, plus Joker.  The Condition of the Card Deck is Excellent - crisp & clean, with sparkling gold gilt edges showing little signs of handling – maybe played once or twice.  The slip case is intact with minor edge & corner wear to the exterior case.  The Gilt Embossed Lettering on front of the slip case is near faultless.  On the opposite side is a Playing Card w/the Official Pan-American Seal by Raphael Beck glued to the slip case that shows some wear.  The interior Slip Case is in excellent condition.  Overall Condition, commensurate with their age of 123 yrs and corresponding use, is VG+.
