Please check the photos. This is the Shohonyama Kozaki Aoto natural whetstone from Kyoto, For the middle process of your knives ( particularly single bevel ) woodworking tools. Water absorption is quick, a thirsty stone, muddy slurry come out quickly, you can sharpen your cutlery quickly, creating a good blade and well link to finishing Awasedo Jnats!  You can see the good Kasumi result with this Aoto after synthetic whetstone #1000 girt.There are a few cracks on the side, we sealed thicker than usual. The lines on the sharpening face, There is a feeling of gravel in the mix. When tested, scratches stands out but still have a good abrasive power. Please treat this Aoto as a grit level #400 -600 considering those scratches. If you dig those lines grit rating to be finer, around #2000. Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they're harder to use. These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured sizes are not accurate. This is a lifetime investment for people who live sharpening their tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”
