Product Description…

Up for sale is a 1999 Chinese Silver Panda 10 Yuan Coin consisting of 1 oz of .999 fine silver.  THIS COIN IS THE LARGE DATE PLAIN STYLE “1” VARIETY.  The coin is certified and graded MS69 by NGC.  

The 1999 Panda coin was issued by the People’s Bank of China.  The obverse design features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with the title of PRC (in Chinese) and the year of issuance.  The reverse design features one of the many attractive panda designs and the face value of 10 Yuan.  The BU coin had 3 varieties – a small date and 2 different large dates.  The large date design utilized a “plain” style 1 and also a “serif” style 1 while the small date utilized only the “serif” style 1 in the date.  The small date was minted at the Shanghai Mint, the large date “plain” at the Shenyang Mint and the large date “serif” at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint.
