A very old figure Pied Piper of Hamelin stuffed cloth figure.

I would say Austrian/German.

Made up of cloth, the body is well padded and very firm. Possibly on a wire frame but only a guess.The hands and feet are stitched, the jacket and hose are velvet. The head could well be papier mache with painted features and strange eyes.

This is really well made, dates to early 20th century and a good size being approx 11 inches.

Condition is very good. Slight wear..one ear is not off but needs reattaching. Any other wear is minimal.

A lovely piece of folk art.
