Up for sale is a 1997 Chinese Silver Panda 10 Yuan Proof Coin consisting of 1 oz of .999 fine silver.  The coin is certified and graded PF68 by NGC. The coin has a low mintage of only 100,000.  

The 1997 Panda coin was issued by the People’s Bank of China.  The obverse design features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with the title of PRC (in Chinese) and the year of issuance.  The reverse design features one of the many attractive panda designs and the face value of 10 Yuan.  This was the first year that the proof version was colorized.  The proof version also differed from the BU version by having a different panda design.
