I bought this just before Covid as I needed extra storage for my growing library of photos and videos. My AppleMac had just 500gb capacity at the time. My AppleMac failed and I upgraded to a 2 TB Mac, so this unit became redundant before it came out of the box.

I'm listing photos so you can see all the technical info.

It has 2 hard drives and is set to Mirror Mode (RAID 1), so irreplaceable content is stored on one drive and automatically duplicated onto the second drive.In the unlikely event that one drive fails, you can rest assured knowing your data is safe and sound on the other drive.

It seems this unit will , however, be useful for local storage/back ups but I am no expert in this field.

At the date I purchased this unit, system requirements were :-

Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista.

Mac OS X, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, or Lion

DLNA/UnP devices for streaming

Router with internet connection.

I regret I do not know whether this unit will work with later operating systems.
