Rare and exquisitely done peranakn beaded slippers from Southeast Asia. The beads are very tiny, brilliantly blue beads on a black velvet background. The soles and the insoles are made out of leather, with the insoles having stamped designs around the inside heel.

The beads are in very good condition, with some missing, as to be expected with something this old. Embellished with the beads are tiny black metal sequins.

There is a slight raise on the heel, that is accomplished with adding a stiff material between the insole and the outer sole.

These shoes do not have a noticeable right or left, which places them as fairly old shoes, probably before the 1890s.

The shoes measure 9.5 inches long, and 3 inches at the widest. This was for a taller, slender person.

These shoes are very rare to find, especially in the black and blue mourning colors. Good luck!
