1.  September 12, 1826 before the Phi Beta Kappa Society, New Haven.  On "The Choice of Era by Epic or Tragic Writers".
2.  April 7, 1836 before the Brooklyn Lyceum. "On the Relations of Literature on a Republican Government".
3.  August 19, 1834 before the Common Council, New Haven. "In Commemoration of the Life and Services of General Lafayette".
Final Poem:
The Hermit of Warkworth.  In three cantos, written in quatrains.  Followed by notes.

CONDITION NOTES: VERY GOOD except for perished caps on volume 2. volume one caps rubbed.  Corners bumped and rubbed. Spine gilt nicely readable. Volume two back joint starting. Large period owner inscriptions to endpapers. Some faint corner creases and a few scattered spots.  No tears or marks in pages.

BINDING: Brown cloth tooled in blind and gilt..
