OLIVETTI VALENTINE YEAR 1969

Olivetti Valentine typewriter, made in Italy from 1969 and designed by the famous Italian designer Ettore Sottsass.

This machine enjoyed much more popularity than the Monpti machine, designed a year earlier, in 1968 by Stefan Lengyel and to which, curiously, they have notable similarities. It is currently a highly sought-after machine for having become a classic in the design industry. We can see a copy of Olivetti Valentine in the MOMA museum in New York. Possibly it receives influences from American Pop culture of the 60s.

This typewriter represented a revolutionary change at that time, both for its bright red color, its lightness, its manageability and its design, which simulates the face of a robot. We can see the antennas (the two rods that come out of the carriage to hold the sheet of paper), the eyes (the orange tape reels) and the mouth (bottom of the keyboard). It has a keyboard made up of four rows and a double shift key. The machine is in very good condition and works correctly. It has some small stains that can be removed if cleaned.

Without a doubt, a very interesting specimen for a great collector.
