The Lord of the Rings 3-volume boxed set, Houghton Mifflin Company (1965). Second edition revised. A must-have for any collector's library, this is J.R.R. Tolkien's classic epic set in the imaginary world of the Third Age of Middle Earth. The cardboard slipcase protecting this 3 volume set shows hardly signs of wear and age. Was always on bookcase. The dust jackets are in very good condition with a bit of wear from slipping in the box. The three hardcover books themselves are the cleanest, brightest, and most well-preserved copies. The front cover and spine imprints are bright. All hinges are intact and the bindings are tight. Interior pages and text are bright white, unmarked and sharp. Each book comes with a map that has never been removed from the book. This set is overall a near mint condition set that will last many more years.
