Genuine, authentic, original twice signed photograph of Generalleutnant Werner Ranck.

Ranck was a highly decorated German Army infantry division and army corps chief of staff during WW2.

During WW2, Ranck was Commander of the 218 Infanterie Division and previously the 121 Infanterie Division particularly during the Battle of the Courland Pocket and the 1944 Siege of Leningrad.

Because of his military service, Ranck was awarded the German Cross in Gold, the Heer Honour Clasp and the Iron Cross First and Second Class.

Because of his extreme personal bravery and successful military leadership in combat, Ranck was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on March 2 1945!

The 4 x 5.5 inch glossy black and white photograph shows Ranck as Wehrmacht General wearing his Knights Cross award and he has signed his name below his image in blue fountain pen ink, and on the reverse side, also his name rank and last Command of the 121 Infanterie Division in the Battle of Kurland in 1945, all in black ballpoint ink pen, postwar.  The twice signed foto is in very good condition.  I purchased this from Signature House sometime ago.  Along with a modern, internet, unsigned print of soldiers in the Battle of the Courland Pocket. Total: 2 items.
