  • The SP-600 , announced by Hammerland in 1951 , was a masterpiece receiver that continued to be manufactured until 1972.
  • This is a very valuable 600 that was given to me several years ago as a completely restored item by Mr. OM , who has technical skills in Japan.
  • Also included is a digital display (direct reading possible)
  • The precious GT tube 6V6 is used for AF OUTPUT , and the volume is very powerful.
  • I don't think you can get a restored top quality SP600 like this one anymore.
  • (The yen is weak in the market, and even in the home country of the USA, collectors are holding on to the finest items.)
  • We are still receiving it with good sensitivity.
  • Since its release, it has been widely used in military, press, and overseas diplomatic missions for many years.
  • Beautiful front design with symmetrically arranged dials
  • Large fan-shaped dial and nice touch tuning knob (right side)
  • As shown in the photo, the front panel is in very good condition with no noticeable scratches.
  • S meter also works fine.
  • 600Ω to 8Ω conversion audio transformer to speaker output with European cabinet
  • Since it is attached, there is usually enough sound even with 8ΩSP.
  • When I switch the filter to 13kHz wideband, radio broadcasts  sound great.
  • Also, although it is not a product detection method, switch the select to CW and adjust the OSC dial.
  • By doing so, you can also receive ham band SSB . ( Confirmed at 7 MHz )
  • This machine is a late model that does not use the infamous Black Beauty capacitor.
  • Improved capacitors were used, so extensive refurbishment work would be required.
