As a general rule I normally do runs of (10-day auctions) once per month to make it easier on me as I have a full-time job. However, this item had some watchers and/or last-minute offers floating around. So, I wanted to decrease the price slightly and re-run this for a short 5-day run to give the other guys another chance at this item without waiting another month. See below...
All quiet on the Western Front with this ORIGINAL 1918 German WWI, Stahlhelm, Combat Helmet (the large size-66 shell w/ 59 liner and chin strap) professionally restored by Alexander & Son helmet restorations out in California. Proper Chin strap (and one which does NOT come detached by itself like so many reproduction chin straps do when you do not want it to). It also has the correct reproduction Size-59 liner w/ chin strap and proper attachments. This is restored to a like-new condition by Alexander & Son.
I used this helmet for one event (a few hours) and decided WWI was not for me. So, it is part of my "down-sizing" efforts. Helmet has some cosmetic signs of use and the rear split pin cap is off, but is still holding tight in-place. NO issues and is a super solid restoration. It is quite an excellent restored original piece by the most or one of the most highly respected helmet restoration companies in the USA.
