From the Maila Nurmi Family Estate comes this very RARE necklace made by Maila Nurmi herself! In the 1960's Maila Nurmi created Vampira's Attic from her apartment on Melrose Ave, Los Angeles. She would create fashions and accessories that she would sell to the musicians that would frequent the Whisky-A-Go-Go and who would shop at the flea markets on Melrose Ave. Maila was known as Melrose Rose and would sell to the likes of Frank Zappa and Grace Slick. This piece is 32 inches in circumference and comes with a Certificate of Authencity signed by her niece Sandra Niemi author of Glamour Ghoul: The Passions and Pain of the Real Vampira, Maila Nurmi.
