Listed is this vintage Cairns & Brothers white leather firefighter Chief’s helmet from Texas. The C on the Cairns &Brothers identification tag indicates this helmet was made from 1951 – 1952 and7 1/8 size on the original paper label.

 Seabrook Texas is a suburb of Houston Texas on the Gulf Coast.

The D hardware on the back rim for hanging is present but the hardware for the chinstrap is long gone. The fold down eye protector is present and is in working condition. There is some cracking to the leather, as could be expected for a 75 year old working firefighter helmet. Still in great shape
