Coalport Hand Painted Lady & Cherub Raised Gold Reticulated 9 5/8 Inch Plate

Fabulous reticulated / pierced edge porcelain plate. Hand painted with a scene of a half nude lady and cherub. The scene is framed in band of gold gilding with gold gilt beading on either side and raised gold gilt urns and floral scrollwork over a yellow background. The edge of the plate is white with heavy relief molded scrollwork and leaf designs with gold gilt highlights.Marked on the bottom England Coalport AD 1750 with a crown. This mark was used between 1891 and 1920. Also has the pattern number X1585 in gold.

Has crazing typical of British porcelain, some minor wear to the gilding, and three small tight cracks along the edge of the reticulation, which all blend into the crazing mentioned for complete accuracy.

Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
