You're bidding on an antique map of the region of Franconia - which lies primarily within the modern German state of Bavaria. This map, published as marked by Daniel Lazars of Edinburgh, probably sources from the "Edinburgh Geographical and Historical Atlas", which was published in 1831. Very nice map - 21 3/8" X18 3/4" - center crease as published. Left and right margins may be slightly cropped for past framing. Copperplate engraved and highly detailed, including cities, geography, and regional and political borders of the time period. Nicely hand colored and decoratively bordered. Some very light age toning in spots, and a bit of light staining in the bottom-left margin, but overall clean and appealing for age and type. Note that the crease is tape reinforced on the back side, and the map is glue-adhered to a backing paper at the top corners. Probably removable, but I'm not a professional so selling as is rather than risk damage.
