SASS EMPORIA are delighted to offer this tall cylinder shaped ceramic vase produced by Scheurich of Germany. Still in operation today, and based in the Bavarian town of Kleinheubach, Scheurich were the most prolific producers of mid-century German ceramics. Scheurich offered a solid production program of classically proportioned forms and an endless array of exciting decors, that are highly collected today.

In this example, we see the second generation form of the 206-27 most likely designed in the early 1960's by Franz Karl the successor to Scheurich's famous form designer Heinz Siery. The decor is called Feuer (translated as fire) which features a bright arrangement of fiery orange and red gloss dripping glazes that blend into a shiny chocolate brown at the top of the vessel. This is a tall commanding ceramic form that packs vibrancy and is ready to be the star of even the most colourful Scheurich display!
