SCIENCE AND THE INFINITE: OR, THROUGH A WINDOW IN THE BLANK WALL

Book Details + Condition: Rider and Co. (London). Fourth Edition, 1929. Hardcover with dust jacket. 157 pages, and illustrated with b&w frontis. By Sydney T. Klein. From the dust jacket, which was written by Aleister Crowley for THE ENGLISH REVIEW: "This book is of an importance which I think it would be hard to overrate. The two main religious tendencies of to-day are towards Science and Mysticism. Mr. Klein unites the two. Mr. Klein undermines our naive belief in Time and Space, and shows that to perfect knowledge there is only Here and Now." Crowley included "Science and the Infinite" in the Curriculum of his A.'. A.'., in Section I of the "General Reading" / "Books for Serious Study", describing the work as "one of the best essays written in recent years." Contents include:

- Clearing the Approach
- The Vision
- Mysticism and Symbolism
- Love in Action
- The Physical Film
- Space
- Time
- Creation

Firm binding; light wear to boards; bookseller sticker to inside front board; toning to pages; interior is clean and free of markings. Original dust jacket shows normal wear, mainly at edges and corners (with a bit off at the spine); it is now protected with a mylar cover.
