Genuine, authentic, original twice hand signed photograph of Grenadier Leutnant Karl Radermacher.

Radermacher was a highly decorated German Army infantry troop leader during WW2!

Radermacher was known as Leader of Combat Groups during the Battle of the Courland Pocket and earlier the Riga Offensive.

Because of his military services, Radermacher was awarded the German Cross in Gold, the Infantry Assault Badge, the Wound Badge in Silver, the Heer/Waffen SS Honour Ribbon and the Iron Cross First and Second Class.

Radermacher also was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in Gold...one of only 631 soldiers to receive this high honor during the War!  Der Reichsfuhrer SS Himmler personally presented this award to him along with his German Cross in Gold at the Ulm City Council in December 1944!

And because of his extreme personal bravery and successful military leadership combat, Radermacher was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on May 4 1944!

Radermacher also was one of only 98 soldiers during the War to receive both the Close Combat Clasp in Gold and the Knights Cross!

The 3.5 x 5 inch oblong glossy sepia black and white photograph shows Radermacher in his Leutnants uniform wearing his Knights Cross and Close Combat Clasp in Gold, and he has signed his signature in the upper right corner and also on the reverse side, in blue ballpoint ink pen, postwar.  The signed foto is in very good condition.  I purchased this from the Todd Mueller Autograph Auctions sometime ago.  Along with a modern, internet, unsigned print of Der Reichsfuhrer SS presenting him his Close Combat Clasp in Gold.  Total: 2 items
