These are 4 intact booklets of stamps issued in series by the Association Des Dames Francaises (ADF) on behalf of the Red Cross of France (Croix Rouge Francaise) in 1918 (World War I) and in support of the hospital that the ADF operated.  One of these booklets in particular-- celebrating the great aviators of WWI -- is a rare find in this condition and simply a great addition to any stamp collection focused on the Wars, France, the Allied Forces of WWI and French-European-World history.

The booklets are part of a set.  The 20 different stamps in each booklet are MNH.  Original gum, undisturbed and attached.  Most of the stamps are in F/VF condition.  A few show minor faults (creasing).  The booklets overall are F/VF and have been maintained in climate controlled storage.  See pics.

It is very unusual to find a near complete set of these.  Of the five booklets issued by the (ADF), 4 are represented here:
  • Les Grands Chefs De L'Armee Allies (commemorating the great military leaders of the Allied Armies)
  • Les Grands Chefs De L'Armee Francaise, 1st Series, 2nd Edition (commemorating great leaders of the French military forces in WWI)
  • Les Grands Chefs De L'Armee Francaise, 2nd Series (commemorating great leaders of the French armed forces in WWI)
  • Les Grands Aviateurs Allies (commemorating the greatest Allied Forces aviators of WWI)
I have presented numerous hi-resolution photos from each booklet.  The proposed Buy Now price reflects the rarity of finding a collection of these stamps in MNH condition, intact in their respective booklets.  I encourage interested buyers/collectors to make sincere offers.   Will ship internationally.
