This vintage hand-carved wooden box is a unique and mysterious piece, going by the silver coloured plate within makes it mysterious!

I mentioned it might be 007’s, of course it’s not but what did it used to hold, something medical more than likely but why such an intricate box

Anyway, forget all the spy stuff, it’s just now a rather large example of this type of carved Indian box

Measures 12 inch long, 8 inch wide, 3.5 inch tall

Inner compartments are 7.5 inch and 3.125 inch wide and both are 7 inch long, depth is just over 2 inch but add the inner lid space and it will down on a thing that’s 2.5 inch high that’s placed inside it
