Waterfall Cedar Interior Chifforobe/Armoire, Wardrobe with Desk

This 77 year old piece is in terrific condition for the age, and looks very nice from all angles.

The mirror, although hard to photograph, is in very good shape with only some slight deterioration

of the backing along the edges, and the Bakelite mirror clips look good and are damage free. The

two drawers are in very good overall condition inside/out, and they slide in and out as they should.

The fronts look relatively good with few blemishes to be found. The pull handle on one and the two

knobs on the other are replacements of the originals. There are some marks on the finish where the

old ones were attached, otherwise all looks very good. The drawers are in excellent structural condition

and the interiors, sides, backs and bottoms look very nice. The desk space with the fold down tabletop

is in very good overall condition. The only thing found to point out is a missing screw on one hinge. The

door opens and closes properly, and the desk portion is nice and solid. The compartment behind the mirror

is excellent, with no issues to report. The two tall doors on either side look very good inside and out and function

as they should. These also received new knobs and have the same slight blemishes as the drawers. The interior of

the two closet spaces are very good on the whole, but the left one has an area where the veneer has lifted near the

front edge. This area was stained to blend in better with the rest. It is not perfect, but looks much better than before.

The rest of the interior on both is fine top to bottom. The clothes hanger bars are secure and above them off to one side

is a somewhat hidden area to keep your slush fund stash. The sides are in very good condition with only the slightest wear

to be found, as are the top, back and (not pictured) bottom of the unit. This armoire is being dated at 1947 as there are markings

on the backside of the mirror, indicating that it was produced that year by The Weaver company. Overall, this is a fine looking, and functioning antique piece that is getting hard to acquire in this condition. Please see the pictures for further details.
