Vintage Brass Candle Light Marine Type Lantern

Hard time researching, probably more for decor over attaching to a boat.  It's a very nice candle holder. I have no idea of the age.

See pictures, there is a picture of the steel wire going around the glass that is cut...makes it easier to clean....
