This small bell is a reproduction of one of the silver gilt bells on a 15th century south Netherlandish crib of the Infant Jesus ("Repos de Jesus") in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  The crib is carved and painted with scenes of the NAtivity and the Adoration of the Magi and embellished all around with tiny silver bells.
