These two pairs of jeans are from--by the button--Pyke's jeans, a company which has remained elusive through our research. Though there are other Pyke's denim pieces out on the vintage market, it seems that the brand is a rare find of the early 20th century denim craze in America. These, based on posts from others, style and cut, and hardware on the jeans, likely date back to about the 1940's or 50's.
Although it's difficult to find information about Pyke clothing company, it seems to have been a small boutique brand based in Utah started around the early turn of the 19th into 20th century. Likely starting out as a work-denim house like Levi's or Wrangler's, according to these 1994 and 1995 articles written during their process of filing for bankruptcy, they began specializing in women's sportswear and coordinated casual outfits sometime during the mid-century.

Both pairs are essentially the same, in measurement and style. Side-zip and button closure; button is embossed with "Pyke's" name logo. Very little wear and tear, no fading or severe defects--if these jeans were worn often, they were well-taken care of!
