An utterly extremely rare form... seldom seem, even in books. This one having it's matching early hand formed copper and tinned bake pan. Very early 18th century wrought iron blacksmith made piece. From its name, it was used to push the pie into the cooking oven, to retrieve,  and to lift it to the table. This is the ONLY one that I've ever had the pleasure to own in 50 years of collecting that also comes with a matching size bake / pie pan.

This was found in coastal Massachusetts decades ago.

Very early construction and hanging end. Untouched and uncleaned.

Such a rare example, you may never see another set.

Measures 28 1/2"  long, top handle hang end is 1 1/8" wide. "Forks" are 8.5" wide, and about 8.5" long from end of handle split.

Hand formed and turned Copper bake pan matches for use perfectly. So rare to find.

USPS Priority Mail.

I am a 3rd generation early American hearthware and utilitarian collector.

My Grandfather began back in the 1950s. My Father continued the collection,  as I have now for almost 50 years myself.

Many of these items have been in the collection for decades.

In the coming weeks I will be listing many rare desirable and seldom seen pieces. The collection has outgrown me, and it's time to share with others.

Happy bidding.
