This is a lamp that has a Loetz Cobalt Papillon glass center section. The base is a heavy pot metal while the rest is brass / bronze. We have had the item rewired with period silk wrap twisted cord and the Circle-F fatboy sockets were mechanically rebuilt to keep them as original as possible. A period looking plug was used in the rewire. The sockets date to 1916 at the latest and we presume the glass to be late period papillon so the item likely dates to ca. 1915. Overall the lamp stands 25-1/2" tall (64.8 cm) and the base measures 6-1/4" (15.9 cm) square. The glass portion is approximately 6-1/2" (16.5 cm) tall and 3-1/2" (8.9 cm) in diameter at its widest. The glass finish shows some lighter areas as pictured in photos 7 & 8. We were informed that this is sometimes seen in papillion, especially in later period wares, but it was a first for us. The glass is in excellent condition without blemish and the rest is in good working order and overall good condition as photographed. The bottom of the base is stamped "1866", likely a form number, and is otherwise unmarked.

Photos 3-6 show the glass as it was rotated.

Light bulbs ARE NOT included.
