Beautiful single/orphan replacement fine china creamer. This piece is a small, delicate little beauty created by Stouffer China, certainly vintage, likely antique.


Jacob Stouffer was born in 1866 in Illinois, USA, and came on the scene in 1892. In 1902 he started his own business,  J.H. Stouffer Co., China and Glass Wholesalers, thereafter opening his first china-decorating studio in 1905 in Chicago. He employed artists who also worked for Pickard China and Brauer Studio, and his hand-painted china spanned from 1905 to about 1920-25. Jacob died in 1912 and left a fine china and glass legacy that would continue until operations ceased in 1952.


For its age, this piece is in amazing condition. The hand-painted gold is still intact both on the exterior and interior. The are little feet that have minor cosmetic wear due to age, gentle ordinary usage, and display. No cracks or chips discovered.
