Locre La Courtille Purple Bows Floral & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer C. 1773-1824 D

Late 18th / early 19th century French porcelain coffee can or coffee cup and saucer. The cup is decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, red, purple and yellow in a gold gilt frame with hand painted floral garlands, gold wreaths, and purple ribbon and bows. The saucer has hand painted floral garlands, gold wreaths, and purple ribbon and bows. Has a blue crossed arrow / torch mark used by Jean-Baptiste Locre near Paris at La Courtille, France. Circa 1773 to 1824.

Has some wear to the gilding, and the cup has a small partially gilded over chip to the foot rim. The saucer has a chip to the front edge.


The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 4 7/8 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
