SASS EMPORIA are delighted to offer this handsome stout sized ceramic handled vase produced by the Van Daalen Topferei of West Germany. Established by Fritz Van Daalen in 1938, the family run operation moved to the city of Aalen in the 1950's where the production of art pottery increased under the supervision of Van Daalen's two sons. Cast from a durable dark coloured clay, Van Daalen items have become synonymous with enduring quality in both form and decor.

On this example we see the form K154-12, a small but elegant conical-shaped vase with a protruding ring-shaped decorative handle. Decorated in a shimmering matte indigo blue glaze it features random spays of vermillion red blemishes that achieves a sophisticated aesthetic finish making it ultra appealing for the Van Daalen fans!
