Description
This burgundy Snorkel Valiant pen and pencil set is in excellent restored condition. There are no cosmetic defects: no dents, cracks, or scratches. The 14k gold nib has been adjusted for excellent ink flow and the point has been smoothed (please see the photos of a writing sample). The pencil propels and retracts as designed, and there is an excellent eraser and 3 extra leads in the storage area. The gift case and original Snorkel instructions leaflet are very good.
This Version of the Snorkel
Sheaffer's Snorkel Valiant is a White Dot model featuring a 14k gold Triumph nib with platinum mask. Other premium features include a 3/8" gold-filled cap band and a gold-filled, spring-loaded clip.
All restorations include
disassembly, cleaning,
replacement of all seals and the sac,
smoothing and adjusting the nib,
refinishing the plastic, stainless steel, and gold-filled surfaces,
filling the pen with ink (not just dipping) and producing multiple writing samples over 2 days (like the ones in the photos).
All shipping materials are now biodegradable.
