Locre La Courtille French Pastoral Scene & Gold Scrollwork Coffee Cup & Saucer

Nice antique French porcelain coffee cup and saucer. Decorated with a hand painted pastoral scene with a house and trees on the cup and a castle with bridge, house, body of water, trees, and a woman. Has a gold gilt floral scrollwork border. With gold gilding along the edge. The cup is unmarked, but the matching saucer is marked on the bottom with a hand painted underglaze blue crossed arrow / torch mark used by Jean-Baptiste Locre near Paris at La Courtille, France. Circa 1773 to 1824.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition.

The cup measures approximately 3 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
