Here we have a wonderful print of Deep Blue Sea from 1999.
Film is in excellent shape except for about two minutes in the middle of Reel 3 which have been
effected by water damage. The first few feet of Reel 3 had issues from water damage when I first rewound it to inspect it.
Then it clears up until about 13 1/2 minutes into Reel 3 when the water damage cause some parts of the cells to peel off of each other. I was able to fix the problem cells with splicing tape. Then after about 15 1/2 minutes it clears up and the rest of the reel is great. So the water damage really only effects about two minutes in the middle of Reel 3.
See pictures for examples of what these bad spots from reel three look like. (these are about as worse as it got)
There is also a picture of what it looked like after I carefully peeled the problem cells away from each other.
All together I would say there was about 10-15 bad spots in those two minutes that I had to reenforce.
Upon Projecting Reel 3, it was a little jumpy during those two minutes but it made it through the projector fine.
Other than Reel 3 the rest of the reels are in great shape with no splices.
This print came from Canada and has a French dubbed Optical Soundtrack.
However being from 1999 this print does have a DTS track.
So if you have DTS capabilities, you would be able to listen digitally to the original English Audio.
I am including the two DTS disks that were with the print when I acquired it. However I DO NOT have DTS capabilities so I cannot speak to the functionality of these disks. They appear to be copies of an original.
Please reference my original notes (pictured) that I took upon first inspecting the print on the bench. I will include these in the package.
Shipped on Six Black Plastic Reels.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all and thanks for looking!
