Description: Fully ground, Industrial Quality, HSS, PARALLEL-THREAD TAP (has a taper lead along 3-5 threads; for through holes and making second/intermediate cut in blind holes).  This tap could be used as following cut after a TAPER tap.  Tap also used in blind holes, as single cut, if full depth tapping is not required and material is mild, low carbon, low alloyed steel up to 800N6mm TS, brass, bronze, cast aluminium, some plastics. Bear in mind the tap will leave 3-5 thread long non-, or partly threaded part at the bottom of hole.
