This unit comes with a 10 micron Fuel Filter and Water Separator (manufacturer will vary) with 14mm X 1.5 thread size.   Note this filter uses the same filter element as the Mercedes 220D, 240D, 300D, 300CD, 300SD, and 300TD.

This unit is very versatile with the inlet and outlet ports on both sides of the filter head and an additional outlet port in the very top.  It can be configured with both inlet and outlet on the right, both inlet and outlet on the left, the inlet on the left and the outlet on the right or the inlet on the right and the outlet on the left or any combination with the outlet on the top.  Fuel fittings come in 5/16" (8 mm) or 3/8" (10mm).    You must specify at the time of purchase or you order will be delayed while we contact you to verify size.

When changing this filter element the coolant heating ring is fastened securely and does not separate and drop down from the filter head like other WVO filters.  So you don't have to burn your fingers while you put the whole assemble back together after you crawled under the vehicle to locate the lost seals.  Unlike other coolant heated filters that have neoprene seals that dissolve in WVO and fall apart when you try and change the filter, this filter stays together with a viton seal between the heating ring and the filter head.  We sold the other type years ago and just had to have something better after customers complained when the hot filter fell apart during the filter change.  This filter will NOT fall apart!

Don't be fooled by other units that use an unpractical wrapped band that heats the outside air more than the fuel and requires you to remove the band and then put it on again every time you change the filter.

Avoid remote oil filter units and household well water filters that have been relabeled for Veg. Oil filters have a bypass and when the filter clogs, the bypass lets unfiltered fuel ruin your injector pump and injectors causing expensive repairs. Household well filters are just that and are not designed for veg.
