The Green Hornet is actually Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel ( an L.A. based newspaper) who dons the guise of the "Green Hornet" to battle criminals that have managed to escape the long arm of the law. As "Strikes" open Reid and Kato are vacationing in Hawaii, but their vacation is short-lived as they discover that master criminal "Crogan" has ratcheted up his operations and is starting a whole new series of rackets that require the Hornet's attention.
