LOOK came out every other week on Tuesday. It was started by John Cowles in 1937 as a competitor to Life Magazine. He got the idea for the magazine from Henry Luce who invited him to his office to look at various names for a new picture magazine he was going to bring out. On the wall of Luce's office were various dummy covers with different names. One of the names was "LOOK." It gave John Cowles an idea and a number of months later he debuted his magazine. We have most issues of LOOK in stock from 1937 through 1971. Inquire about other issues..
