For most young boys from the 1960s through to the 1990s making a model with their father or grandfather was a rite of passage and was one of those great bonding times in a relationship. Arguably the golden era of model kits, Airfix, Revell, Matchbox and Tamiya to name just a few were producing some of their legendary kits, many of which are still available today.
It is true to say that men never really grow up and that building a model with our children was, and still is one of the most enjoyable things we can ever do. Whether the dad, granddad or the son, any model maker would love this nostalgic card.
