Jack Webb is best known for Dragnet. Before Dragnet, he played in 3 other OTR detective shows, Pat Novak, Johnny Madero, and this show, Jeff Regan, private investigator. This show was on CBS radio, and had a short run from July 1948- December 1948. Each show started out with Webb saying " I get $10 a day, plus expenses, "They call me the Lyon's eye" This was in reference to his boss at the detective agency, Anthony Lyon. The show got it's second wind in, started up again in Oct. 1948-Aug 1950, this time Frank Graham, and Paul Dubrov had taken Webb's place. All the shows were well written, acted, and directed.
