This bowl was manufactured between 1911-1914 by Imperial. The pattern is Open Rose, also known as Lustre Rose or Imperial’s #489. As rule of thumb, if a bowl or plate in this pattern has a collar base it is referred to as Open Rose, otherwise it is referred to as Lustre Rose. This particular bowl is in the rare color of blue. The approximate measurements are as follows: 8 3/4" in diameter and 3" in height. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. There are none of the common straw marks found in carnival glass. The iridescence is marvelous and it has a high profile. Please be sure to view all the photos to truly appreciate this item.
