Very little can be added to the well documented saga of the TSR.2 story, but in the hands of chief test pilot Roland Beamont, the beauty and performance of this aviation classic was shown to its utmost. In this aviation art print by Charles J. Thompson, Beamont is shown flying XR219 on one of the last test flights before the project was cancelled. There is of course little doubt among aviation historians that had the aircraft entered service and had its numerous teething troubles been eliminated then it would more than likely seen service well into the 21st century.
