Vilhjalmur Stefansson [1879 1962] was a noted Canadian Arctic explorer. Listed for auction is a [ALS] autograph letter signed by Vilhjalmur Stefansson on the letterhead of The Copley-Plaza Hotel and dated January 12, 1929. The letter reads as follows, Don't forget to write the author about the ''Reading with a Purpose'' booklet on Polar Exploration. The letter is signed ''Vihjalmur Stefansson'' in black fountain pen. The letter measures 8.50 x 10.50 inches, it has some trivial wrinkling and toning otherwise it is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic, and the letter is a nice example of this noted explorer. We have listed a collection of astronaut, aviation and military autographs.
