Firstly find your car's OBD port, turn on the ignition and plug the tool in. The unit will then scan for the protocol that your car uses, the unit will then link into your car and display what fault codes it has found along with the description. You then select the 'Erase' option from the menu and then the MIL light is off! Simple.
