These FTZ cable lugs, also known as starter lugs, are the best we could find, except for their heavy duty power lugs. They are made by a leading manufacturer of electrical components for transportation and industrial applications - connectors are their whole business. They are similar to Ancor Heavy Duty Marine lugs, made of 99.9% copper, with a substantial polished tin plating, and most importantly the pad is a seamless piece for strength, conductivity, and corrosion resistance. The lack of a seam is what sets them apart from the Ancor brand. And we sell them for much less!
We recommend the FTZ crimping tool, which provides a substantial diamond-shaped crimp with no voids, or an appropriate hydraulic or electric crimper. The lugs can also be soldered.Size |
