SAW DEPTH & TYPICAL USES
1.5mm - Flat boards with very light gauge fretwire. Slot cleaning.
2.0mm - 16" to Flat before radiussing. Revisiting fret slots after radiussing (any radii).
2.5mm - 7.25" - 14" before radiussing.
3.5mm - For cutting nut slot sides and general purpose use.

DESCRIPTION
The saw has a comfortable genuine vintage hardwood handle with ferrule.
The body is also designed to be used as an aid to controlling the depth of the fret slot.
Four variations are available: 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.5mm cutting depth. (See photo further below for saw depth comparisons)
Kerf Width 0.6mm / 0.023".
The blade can be orientated for either push sawing or pull sawing.
Effective Blade length 125mm.
The saw blades are replaceable. 5x 32TPI blades are provided - see below.
SAW BLADE SPECIFICATION & BESPOKE SAW DESIGN
The saw is purpose designed and incorporates a rigid steel body that shrouds the blade along the top edge and both sides. This provides full support to the blade and positive reaction against the cut.
The saw blades are single sourced from the WORLDS LEADING MANUFACTURER OF CUTTING TOOLS.
This ensures the following criteria are met:

The manufacturers part code is included with the saw instructions and the blades can be easily obtained through retailers via eBay.
SAW DEPTH COMPARISON
The depth of cut is fixed and maximum depth is controlled by the bottom of the saw which makes contact with the fretboard. The contact face of the saw is crowned. The saw itself is no wider than a fret so any marking of the wood is minimal and hidden beneath the fret when fitted.
