Voted by TIME magazine as a top 10 invention of the decade, the Neurowear Necomimi is one of the first affordable brain wave controlled gadgets to hit the market. The european version arrived in the UK only a few short months ago and has now started to make an imprint on the national press.
For the first time consumers like you and me can now afford to actually see our mental state or brain wave activity, demonstrated either through a physical device such as the Neurowear Necomimi & Mattel MindFlex, or virtual devices such as NeuroSky's MindWave and MindWave Mobile neuroheadsets.
The benefit of being able to see your brainwave activity through a physical device, apart from being hilarious, is that you have a really obvious indicator of what your brain is doing in terms of how alert and how relaxed you are.
With the Necomimi this encourages you to try and change your state of mind and in doing so changing the movement and reaction of the headset.
