GM Motorsport Ramjet OTR Cold Air Intake Kit
Suitable for VZ Holden Commodore LS1 5.7lt Gen3 V8, MAFLESS

RAMJET is now available for your Holden.  Bolt on up to 32 real horsepower now, and get even more when coupled with tuning and other modifications. The ever popular GM Motorsport Ramjet Over The Radiator Cold Air Intake continues to be fitted on everything from daily driven LS1 equipped vehicles to some of the quickest VE+ Holden dragsters in the country.

This is truly where Ramjet differs from the competition. Of course there are other OTR options available however none have Ramjet’s pedigree, none have been subjected to anywhere near the amount of R&D required to create a truly legal bolt on intake that’s proven to win races and set records at facilities across Australia. Ramjet was designed using advanced computer 3D modelling, flow bench testing and dyno verification so they could provide real results to real enthusiasts.

The results speak for themselves, as an array of records won by Ramjet equipped vehicles include;

GM Motorsport was the first company in Australia to develop a sophisticated aftermarket Over The Radiator cold air intake to suit the VE Commodore V8. There may have been another player with a far less sophisticated system, but none investing in an immense amount of in-house and in-field testing, CAD design and flow bench testing the likes of what went into creating the Ramjet.

Additional virtues are a sealing system the equal of traditional OE intakes meaning that dirt and particulate intake was about as close to perfect as can be achieved, and is still an industry leader in this respect. Ramjet's advanced plastic technology sets it apart from the thin plastic, heat retaining aluminium & cheap fibreglass cold air intakes on the market. Ramjet is instead constructed from a heavy duty OEM style plastic that is strong, lightweight and able to keep the intake charge cooler than anything else on the market thus resulting in huge power gains. Ramjet also comes complete with a custom K&N high performance reusable filter and everything required to fit it in well under an hour.

This Mafless variant comes with everything required to fit the Ramjet and remove the factory Mass Air Flow sensor. On many earlier VT-VZ models the MAF meter was a bottleneck for the intake of air into the engine. By removing this restriction it was found that airflow was increased, and thus so was the horsepower output of the engine. All vehicles that have an upgraded camshaft that is big enough (typically over the 230°+ duration) can also confuse the MAF meter to due air flow harmonics from the camshaft. This is another situation where removing the MAF and running a Mafless Ramjet OTR would suit - whether it be a 1999 VT or 2015 VF.
