The safest method to start skin peels is to build tolerance from a low percentage peel such as 10% then increasing the peel strength over a safe period. As with all safe treatments time is key. 

Building tolerance allows your skins pH to become custom to the acidic nature to the peels over time. This is the safest method to start skin peel treatments.

The skin tolerance building method consists of a treatment plan that is spread over 7 – 8 weeks which will enable you to build from 10% to 15% and then to the final stage of the tolerance peel treatment plan to 20%. 

Once tolerance has been correctly built, you will then be able to assess whether your treatment at 20% is sufficient or whether you need to further increase strengths in order to gain further improved results.

How is this good for spots, blackheads and enlarged pores? 

The most common form of acne is caused as hair follicles get clogged by dead skin cells and sebum - the oil your skin naturally produces. Bacteria multiply within the clogged pores and so spots and blackheads form. By removing the dead skin cells you are also removing the grime and excess oil that's blocking up the pores and exposing fresh, new skin that can breathe. Most people report that with regular use of AHA products, their once very oily skin changes to a combination type skin, the less oil your skin produces, the less oil there is to get trapped.

How does it reduce scars and wrinkles? 

When new layers of skin grow they are following the pattern, or blueprint of the skin above them, so if you have wrinkles in your skin that is the blueprint the new skin is following. By removing the top layers of skin daily you are reducing that blueprint and so the wrinkles become less visible, slowly over time. Using this peel every other evening means you are constantly renewing and regenerating the skin, so you get much better results than a peel used once a week.

No topical treatments can completely reverse deep scarring but the Glycolic Acid peels will help to make your skin smoother, and the scars a little softer. The treatment also stimulates the production of collagen which keeps your skin smooth and firm. It also allows your moisturiser to penetrate the deeper layers of skin, and so the skin’s own regeneration process can happen more efficiently

Do I need a neutraliser?

It is essential and vital that you use a neutraliser with our or advanced peels. The acid CANNOT be washed off with just water. Some people use bi-carbonate soda in water to neutralise the peel however we do not recommend this method, we have a specially formulated neutraliser which has been formulated to be kinder on the skin.

Do skin peels require a prepping solution before treatment?

No, there is no need for a skin prepping solution. All that is required is that skin is washed and rinsed thoroughly before commencing treatment.

Is a skin patch required?

Yes! Before any peel is performed it is important that a patch test is carried out 48 hours before commencing the full peel.

Will my face be sore and peeling?

 As long as you follow the instructions supplied then no, you should experience no discomfort or peeling, remember this is just speeding up a natural process that occurs in your skin. The peel is left on for 1 - 8 minutes (remember to time it accurately). As you will be applying a chemical exfoliator to your skin you will feel a slight stinging sensation, but it's loosening the bond of the old, dead skin only and not peeling off your healthy, living skin. You may experience some tingling and redness but this will soon fade. You skin may also feel slightly itchy after a treatment, this is perfectly normal as it's the skin regenerating itself. This is not the same peel used on shows such as 10 years younger where the healthy skin is burned and falls of, that is caused by a TCA peel and should never be used at home.

When will I see results?

Most people see results immediately after treatment however, this depends on your skin type, age and what your treatment aims are. Please note it can take up to 6 treatments before results are seen, time really is key!

DO NOT USE IF:

• Suffer from Rosacea - Our products are not suitable for Rosacea suffers.
• You are under the age of 16
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• undergoing any kind of intense beauty treatment (microdermabrasion, glycolic acid treatment, Retin-a, laser therapy etc)
• you have any broken veins/capillaries
• on medication which increases the skins sensitivity such as (but not limited to) roaccutane and for 12 months after your course has been completed.
• You have an active coldsore or if you commonly suffer from cold sores you may find that chemical peels can cause an outbreak of cold sores. If you take ongoing medication for cold sores you may want to take your medication prior to use or alternatively avoid use altogether

• If you have diabetes mellitus 
• If you have circulatory problems including Raynaud's disease
• If you are allergic to glycolic acid

Sun Exposure - AHA's may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit strong sun exposure while using this product and for at least a week afterwards. Do not use sunbeds while using this product. An SPF of 15 must be worn during a cloudy day. A higher SPF will be required during warmer/hotter weather months or if you live in a hot climate.

Returns

We can accept items that are unused and have not been tampered with. We do not accept returns on items that have been used. Most of our products are in evident tamper bottles and therefore if returned and the bottles have been opened you will not be entitled to a refund.

Should you wish to return any order that has not been used, please contact us within 7 working days and we will endeavor to assist you in returning the item.

Once we have received the items and have checked them accordingly you will be refunded within 7 working days.

Damaged Items

All damages must be reported within 24 hours of receiving your order. As standard proof is required therefore clear images must be sent to us of the damage. 

In the rare event of leakage we will request an image of the outter and inner package contents. 

If you have indicated damaged goods we will request images of the damage.

When dealing with items that have been damaged during transit we request a minimum of 7 working days in order for the courier to investigate.

Once all the appropriate checks have been made we will offer a resolution.

Item not received/Denial of Receipt

Any claims that an item has not been received will be fully investigated. Upon receiving a claim we will send you a 'Denial of Receipt' (DOM) which is a legal document for you to sign, print and date. This must be received within 7 days in order to proceed with a positive resolution.
